Blue Plate Oysterette

I love seafood, and I particularly love lobster. The first lobster roll I had was some years ago, in Maine, I believe. It was cold, and delicious. The next time I had one, it was in another restaurant, in another city, and it was warm. That’s when I fell in love. The warm lobster roll kills the cold one in my book.

Anyway, Blue Plate Oysterette here in Santa Monica has the most decadent lobster roll I’ve had thus far. The bread is thick, and soaks up the delicious and so not good for you butter, and of course, the lobster is served warm. Blissful. You have your choice of sides; I chose the salad, which is legit with a perfect vinaigrette.

And the ambiance? Ocean Avenue, right across from the Pacfic Ocean. Give these folks a holla.
