Celebrating the pivotal figures in Reggae and Caribbean music by Hubert Neal Jr

Damian Marley is the youngest son of Bob Marley and a successful Reggae/Dancehall artist in his own right. Each of his albums has been critically acclaimed and he is the only Jamaican Reggae artist in history to win two Grammy Awards in the same night. His best known single and album of the same name is 'Welcome to Jamrock.'

Not content to work in only one genre, Damian teamed up with Hip Hop icon for a project called 'Distant Relatives' which melded both artist's styles with a focus on their shared African ancestry, with some songs sampling music from Africa.

After establishing himself as a force in the Jamaican music scene, Winston Foster, better known as Yellowman, became the first dancehall artist to be signed to a major American label. His first album, entitled Mr Yellowman was an instant success and classic led by the single 'Zungguzungguguzungguzeng.' Yellowman has albinism which inspired his stage name. In addition, Yellowman was diagnosed with cancer and a tumor was found in his jaw. Though doctors had to remove Yellowman's jaw on the left side of his face leaving him disfigured, he made a full recovery and continues to tour.
